Concrete Quality

DELTA, January 12, 2004

Lehigh Cement announced today, plans to introduce a new CONCRETE QUALITY  logo.  The logo was recently developed by the Cement Association of Canada, Western Canada Region, as part of a strategic commitment to position concrete as the preferred building material. This creative step forward, is a highlight of the promotional work currently being undertaken by the CAC for the cement industry.

The new CONCRETE QUALITY logo is a signal to residential consumers of concrete quality, and designed to instil consumer confidence. "It is an identifier of quality, and the key attributes of superior noise abatement, best-in-class fire protection, leak resistance, energy efficiency, durability and superior value, found in concrete construction," explained Mr. Robert Sloat, Director, Business Development, Cement Association of Canada.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Brad Pope, Manager, Fly Ash and Technical Services, Lehigh Cement, said; "Introducing this logo is the result of a branding initiative brought together by CAC and our alliance in Western Canada. Our goal was to identify the most effective way to enhance the image of concrete in consumer minds, while building upon its benefits. We believe the new CONCRETE QUALITY logo accomplishes this goal and positions us for continued sales growth."

The sleek, modern elements of the new logo design emphasize innovation and leading edge technology, while building on the trust that consumers have placed in concrete over its long and successful history.

The CONCRETE QUALITY logo is available to homebuilders, developers, REALTORSTM and others in the residential building community; the design community, cement and concrete industries.

An accompanying Concrete Quality Handbook (2MB .pdf) for corporate and marketing communication  explains usage standards, and artwork is available. Please contact us to discuss ideas of how you can integrate this logo into your marketing activities.

Use of the Concrete Quality mark does not mean that the Cement Association or their members endorses a particular project, builder or developer.
