Product Types & Usage
EcoCemPLC:
Lehigh Type GUL General Use
Portland Limestone Cement
EcoCemPLC,
Lehigh's Type GUL Cement,
is
similar to normal
Lehigh
Type GU portland cement. EcoCemPLC
is a general purpose hydraulic cement produced in a more environmentally
friendly manner. It is formulated to be used in concrete, mortars and
grouts that do not have any specialty requirements. Typical uses include
pavements, sidewalks, floors, building foundations, and commercial
concrete construction. EcoCemPLC
conforms to the requirements of CSA A3000-08 “Cementitious Materials
Compendium”. It
must not be used when concrete is exposed to elevated levels of sulphates in soil or water.
Lehigh Type GU General Use Cement
Lehigh Type GU Cement is a general purpose hydraulic cement that can be
used for most construction projects. It is formulated to be used in
concrete, mortars and grouts that do not have any specialty requirements.
Typical uses include pavements, sidewalks, floors, building foundations,
and commercial concrete construction. Lehigh Type GU Cement conforms to
the requirements of CSA A3000-08 “Cementitious Materials Compendium”. It must not be used
without the appropriate amounts of SCMs when concrete is exposed to elevated levels of sulphates in soil or water.
Lehigh Type HE High Early Strength Cement
Lehigh Type HE Cement produces higher early strengths relative to a normal
Type GU cement. It is formulated to be used in concrete, mortars and
grouts that require rapid strength gain or that will be utilized in cold
weather construction. The use of Type HE cement is beneficial in projects
where concrete must be put into service quickly or requires early form
removal. Lehigh Type HE Cement conforms to the requirements of of
CSA A3000-08 “Cementitious Materials Compendium”. It must
not be used without the appropriate amounts of SCMs when concrete is exposed to elevated levels of sulphates in
soil or water.
Lehigh Type HS High Sulphate Resistant Cement
Lehigh Type HS Cement should be used in cement mixtures that will be
exposed to a sulphate environment. It is formulated to be used in
concrete, mortars and grouts that will be in service where soils or ground
water have a high sulphate content. Typical uses for Type HS cement
includes foundations and underground construction in alkali soils.
Lehigh Type HS Cement conforms to the requirements of of
CSA A3000-08 “Cementitious Materials Compendium”. Type HS cement gains strength more slowly than
Type GU cement and may be slightly darker in colour.
Lehigh Specialty Cement
Lehigh Specialty Cement is a specialty purpose cement designed for use in
high strength mortars and stuccos. It is formulated to be used in Type S
mortar and in a Type MS or FMS stucco. It is a mixture of portland
cement, mortar enhancing admixtures and supplementary materials. Specialty
cement is designed to maintain the excellent working properties of masonry
cement with the added features of increased strength and bond. Lehigh Specialty Cement conforms to the requirements of of CSA A3000-08 “Cementitious
Materials ompendium”. It must not be used for making concrete.
